Catch Up Class Week 1 - Monday Night Stretch & Relax

Duration: 1hr 16 minutes

Emphasis:  After a whole body warm-up to see how things are feeling after the Easter break, we move into some gentle sequences that focus on moving the spine through flexion, extension and  especially rotation, with some stretches to lengthen the sides of the body too. There's Cow and Cat Pose (Bitilasana and Marjaryasana), Crescent Moon Pose (Anjaneyasana) and Warrior 1 Pose (Virabhadrasana I) plus some Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana) and Side Lunge (Skandasana). Seated and supine poses include Garland Pose (Malasana), Side Reclining Leg Lift Pose aka Vishnu's Couch Pose (Anantasana) and Fish Pose (Matsyasana)

Props needed: 2 blocks, a blanket and a yoga belt.

Mat direction: Long edge of the mat facing the screen.
