Seated and Supine Sequence with Straight Legs

   Duration: 36 minutes

Emphasis:  All the poses in this seated and supine sequence are done with straight legs - they include Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend), Upavistha Konasana (Wide Angle Seated Forward Bend) and their variations that are done lying on the back - Urdhva Mukha Supta Paschimottanasana and Supta Upavistha Konasana, Parsva Upavistha Konasana (Seated Side Stretch Pose), Viparita Karani (Reclined Legs Raised Pose) and Anantasana (Side Reclining Leg Lift). To counterpose these we'll finish with two bent leg variations of Supta Apanasana (Reclined Knee to Chest Pose).

Props needed: A long strap (you could tie or buckle two shorter ones together), two blocks or thick books and a blanket.

Mat direction: Long edge of the mat facing the screen.
