Catch Up Class Week 5 (2) - Thursday General Class

Duration: 1 hr 15 minutes

Emphasis:  After a breathing practice which takes the awareness to the belly, the ribs and the chest we'll do some circling and side bends to warm up. The sequences include Cat Pose (Marjaryasana) and Cow Pose (Bitilasana), Lizard Pose (Utthan Pristhasana), Sphynx Pose (Salamba Bhujangasana) and Downward Facing Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Swanasana). Then we add in Chair Pose (Utkatasana), Warrior 3 Pose (Virabhadrasana III) and a standing balance. We then move to seated poses using two belts to take us deeper into Head To Knee Pose (Janu Sirsasana) and 'bind' one arm behind the body.

Props needed: Blocks, blanket and two yoga belts or ties from bathrobes.

Mat direction: Long edge of the mat facing the screen.
