Catch Up Class Week 2 - Tuesday Lunchtime General Class

Duration: 1hr 14 minutes

Emphasis:  After warming-up by synching movement and breath, we move into a varied sequence that includes some kneeling poses such as Moving Thread-the-Needle Pose (Parsva Balasana or sometimes known as Urdhva Mukha Pasasana), Balancing Table Pose (Dandayamana Bharmanasana), Camel Pose (Ustrasana) and Lizard Pose (Uttan Pristhasana). We then move into some standing poses such as Side Lunge (Skandasana), Standing Forward Bend (Prasarita Padottonasana) and Triangle Pose (Utthita Trikonasana). Coming back down to the ground we practice Seated Staff Pose (Dandasana), Sage Marichi 3 Pose (Marichyasana III), Sage Marichi 1 Pose (Marichyasana I), Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana), some variations of Bridge Pose (Setu Bhandasana), a supine twist and a seated twist and, finally, some supine core work tracing the letters of the alphabet with our feet! We finish with a relaxing 'Left Side, Right Side' Meditation in Savasana. Phew there's a lot of poses in that class! I hope you enjoy it.

Props needed: 2 blocks, a blanket and a yoga belt.

Mat direction: Long edge of the mat facing the screen.
