Sanskrit Word of the Week : Sangha

The Sanskrit word 'sangha' translates as tribe or community.  In the yogic context it is a group of people who come together to practise yoga.  I love the feeling of having this sense of togetherness and connection that I share with my yoga students - and I hope they feel it too. 

As is often the case in Sanskrit there can be multiple meanings to words, and the word 'kula' is sometimes used to describe a yoga community too.  I thought I'd better mention it in case you ever come across it and wondered.  Same meaning - different words.
